The Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 celebrates good business
The achievements of socially-minded enterprises are being celebrated and rewarded by the inaugural Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 which is now open to candidates.
The Award recognises the most inspirational ethical enterprise in Australia. This is a business or organisation making positive social and economic impact in a community through innovative ethical trade practices.
Any business, community groups, non-profits or organisations at the forefront of innovative ethical, sustainable and social impact practices are encouraged to apply.
The Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 is open to nominees until September 30, before the winner is announced in late November.
Nominees will be asked to outline the innovations they have embraced that position them as an ethical enterprise.
The winner of an Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 will gain national recognition for their contribution to society, and their unique vision and leadership.
They will also win prizes including the opportunity to participate in media, cross promotional and networking activities as well as a $6000 advertising package from Eco News and Eco Directory.
The winning entrepreneur will also be treated to a tailored personal development program. Plus there is a cash prize up for grabs.
The Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 is a joint creation of Australian Ethical and Moral Fairground.
Australian Ethical is a superannuation and investment fund manager committed to financial security and positive impacts for society and the environment.
Moral Fairground is a social enterprise increasing economic opportunities for disadvantaged farmers, producers, workers and enterprises operating in the ethical sector, according to director Susanna Bevilacqua.
“This Award, the first of its kind in Australia, celebrates the importance of informed ethical leadership, conscious business and innovation,” she said.
“It demonstrates how organisations that seek a fair, just and sustainable offering can also provide great financial returns too.”
“We hope to inspire other organisations and businesses in this rapidly growing segment and that the award sets new benchmarks for future ethical enterprises,” Bevilacqua said.
