Melbourne hosts Australia’s leading Sustainable Living Festival

Melbourne’s Sustainable Living Festival is on a growth trajectory and will take its message of unity, cooperation and the possibility of a better world to multiple locations across Victoria over February 8-23, 2014.

Last year the Sustainable Living Festival attracted over 200,000 visits, involved 300-plus community volunteers, showcased over 150 exhibitors and presented more than 350 talks, workshops, films and performances.

The 2014 festival is set to be even bigger.

The 48-page program details a plethora of activities and events including: forums, interactives, sustainable house tours, art exhibitions, swap meets, conservation activities, DIY workshops, skill shares, kids events and markets.

A major event of the program in its own right is the Three-day Big Weekend Showcase (February 14-16, 2014) staged at Melbourne’s Federation Square. It celebrates the very best examples of ecological and social sustainability.

The Sustainable Living Festival is the biggest event of its kind held in Australia and attracts international speakers and audiences.

It is run by a non-profit foundation aiming to foster the adoption, by the whole community, of ways of living that will sustain the community of life locally and globally.
