National Recycling Week November 11-17, 2013

We should all be recycling as a way of life. And if you don’t recycle regularly, here are some reasons to help convince you why you should .

Recycling reduces landfill, it preserves our resources and saves our wildlife.

Recycling also benefits the economy. By recycling and purchasing recycled products it stimulates the economy and it helps our environment by reducing the unhealthy amount of greenhouse emissions – plus recycling saves energy.

Coming up on November 11, 2020 is National Recycling Week launched by Planet Ark. If you don’t already recycle this is a great time to start and if you are already regularly recycling, it’s a great time to educate those around you and get others involved in a great cause.

In November 1996 Planet Ark launched National Recycling Week to bring a national focus to the environmental benefits of recycling.

Now in its 17th year, National Recycle Week by Planet Ark provides information to schools, businesses and homes on how to make each place in their community more recyclable friendly.

Besides the annual National Recycling Week they also hold a number of events to promote recycling. For more information on National Recycling Week visit: recyclingweek.planetark.org
