World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day is occurring on the 2nd February 2013. The day was first celebrated in 1997 and marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in Iran on 2nd February 1971.

The idea of the day is to raise public awareness of wetland values and promote the importance of wetlands. Get on down to your local wetland and check it out on 2nd February!
